CIRCE

The Centre d’Ingénierie Comportementale (CIRCE) is a 1,400 m² experimental platform dedicated to the study of animal behavior. It offers specialized facilities and state-of-the-art equipment for detailed and integrated analysis across the entire behavioral spectrum.
CIRCE enables the systematic exploration of various behavioral functions in both mice and rats, including cognition (learning, memory, decision-making, attention), social interactions, emotional responses, and motor abilities. These investigations are conducted under both physiological and pathological conditions, such as addictions (or other mental disorders), neurodegenerative diseases, and mood disorders.
Behavioral observations can be combined with in vivo physiological measurements of brain activity (electrophysiology, fiber photometry imaging) or peripheral parameters (metabolic data, cardiovascular rhythms). Targeted brain interventions can also be performed.
